Thriving on Tension: Redefining Conflict Resolution

Timm Urschinger & Rhea Ong Yiu aims to turn the traditionally negative perspective on tension into an opportunity for growth, creativity, and collaboration.


Utilizing expert discussions and interaction, we hope to bring new concepts to life, and share some techniques to facilitate productive dialogue in contentious situations.


We will share examples to normalize tension using non-violent communications.


Our goal is to equip participants with tools to effectively navigate and turn tensions into positive, enabling mechanisms for growth and evolution.

Speaker Bio

Timm has started his career in big pharma, where he set out to improve patients’ lives. He switched to consultancy to make a difference in how companies operate to ultimately unleash the potential of people.


Still wanting to find that inner fulfillment, Timm started his own company LIVESciences in 2015. The team has been busy catalyzing success for clients across Europe and globally, redesigning operating models and ways of working into novel and modern ways that put people at the center of driving business success.


Together with the team, he decided to join EY as of November 2023 and continue with great strides to drive impactful, life-changing shifts in client organizations and bring a breath of fresh air to the consulting leadership scene.

Outside of work, Timm holds important roles as father to two beautiful toddlers, a husband, a friend, a chicken owner and a visionary-enabler committed to reimagine the world to make it a better and more sustainable place for all of us.
